Kansas City, Mo. -- A day after being named the national cross country runner of the week, Missouri Southern junior Eric Schott has been named the MIAA men's cross country runner of the week as announced by the league office today.
Shott was the top runner for the seventh-ranked Lions at last Friday's double-dual with Arkansas and Missouri held in Fayetteville. He finished third overall with a time of 20:15.3 over the distance of the 6.6k course. He finished third in the race against Arkansas and won the dual against Missouri, defeating 20 other Tigers in the process.
Schott and the Lions will be back in action on September 21, when Southern plays host to the annual Southern Stampede at the MSSU Cross Country Course.
