2010-11: Niggeman was one of the Lions best runners in 2010 where he helped Southern to a second place finish at the MIAA Championships ... He placed 11th at the University of Arkansas, and 21st in the MIAA's where he ran the 8k course over a time of 25:31.9.
2009-10: Cross Country: Placed 30th in the MSSU Stampede to cover the 8k course in a season best 24:54.30... finished 6th to help the Lions clench the title at the GLVC vs. MIAA meet, racing the 8k in 24:54.80... was Honorable Mention All-MIAA placing 14th to help the Lions to their 8th MIAA conference title in the last 10 years... was a member of the South Central Regional Championship team, qualifying for the NCAA DII National Championships in Evansville, IN... at the National Championships helped the Lions to a team finish of 11th.; Indoor: Placed 4th in the 3k run (8:53.63) at the MSSU Radioshack Invite... at the MIAA Championships finished 12th in the 5k run (15:44.39) and 10th in the 3k run with a season best 8:47.71.; Outdoor: Had a personal best 5k (15:04.33) at the U of A John McDonnell Invite, placing 4th, a time good enough to qualify for the USA Junior Track and Field Championships... finished 2nd at the KU Relays's 10k with a time of 31:43.73... at the MIAA outdoor Championships placed 14th in both the 5k and 10k runs.
In High School: a distance runner that comes from strong Potosi High School cross country program in Potosi, Mo. Niggeman ran for coach Steve Davis, father of former Southern cross country runner Kyle. The Trojans won the Missouri State Title three times in Niggeman's tenure where Nick was a top 11 finisher in three years, placing third this year to earn All-State honors. In his sophomore year of track, Niggeman helped the school's 4x800m relay team to a second place finish, and the team took home the state title this past season. He finished tenth in the 2008 Nike Team Regionals in Terre Haute, Ind.
Personal: The son of Joe and Annette Niggeman, Nick is undecided on his future major at Southern.
