Pueblo, Colo. -- Missouri Southern senior thrower Dustin Green placed 12th today in the hammer throw in day one at the 2013 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Colorado State - Pueblo.
Green hit his distance of 184 feet, five inches in his second throw, but missed the finals by just under seven feet. The throw is the third-best of the season for Green.
In other action, sophomore sprinter Jeff Fraley failed to qualify for the finals of the 100m dash. Fraley finished fourth in his heat with a time of 10.37, finishing just .06 away from qualifying for the finals.
Tomorrow's action will pit Green in the Discus, while Fraley will run in the prelims of the 200m.
