Joplin, Mo. -- Missouri Southern sophomore sprinter Jeff Fraley has been named the MIAA Men's Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office today.
Fraley won the 200m at the University of Missouri Invitational last Friday. He finished just a third of a second from an automatic qualifying mark as he settled for a provisional time of 21.57 to win the event. He defeated six Division I runners in the race and now ranks fifth in the Division II. He also placed fourth in the 60m dash at the even.
The 5-9 sophomore spinter is a native of St. Robert, Mo. where he competed at Waynesville High School. Fraley and his teammates will be at the Kansas Invitational this Friday.
