Columbia, Mo. -- Missouri Southern sophomore sprinter Jeff Fraley won the 200m and placed fourth in the 60m as the Lions competed at the Missouri Invitational today inside the Hearnes Center at the University of Missouri.
Fraley finished just a third of a second from an automatic qualifying mark in the 200m as he hit a provisional time of 21.96 to win the event. Anthony Price was sixth in the 200m, while Trey Dorsey placed 14th.
In the 60m, Fraley placed fourth with a time of 6.82. Price was sixth in the 400m with a time of 51.59, whie Miles Migliara and Trey dorsey placed third and sixth in the 600m run. Andrew Webster was sixth in the 1000m, while Alex Mason placed 11th in the mile. Jazz Allen and Jayce Thomas placed fourth and seventh, respectively, in the 60m hurdles.
Dustin Green, Evan Moore and Seth Hackney placed second, third and fourth in the shot put, all picking up provisional marks in the process. Green threw the shot 52-1.25, while Moore hit 51-11 and Hackney was at 51-9.75. Moore was fifth in the weight throw, while Green and Nicklas Polizzi placed 8th and 11th.
Michael Juergens placed fourth and picked up a provisional height of 15-7.25. Brady Melugin was sixth, while Zach Bobbett and Jarret Keller placed 8th and 9th. Clark Tanksley was third in the high jump, while Thomas placed fifth. Tyler Albright was fourth in the long jump and Dominique Jenkins placed sixth, while Darion Boure picked up a provisional in the triple jump with a distance of 47-11.75, placing third.
The 4x800m relay team of Migliara, Mason, Webster and Sam Pogue won the event in a time of 8:19.50, while the 4x400m relay team of Fraley, Tanksley, Dorsey and Allen placed third.
The Lions will be at Kansas a week from tonight, to compete in the KU Invitational.
