Men's track qualifies three for nationals
Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern men's track and field team has qualified three individuals for four events in this year's 2012 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships. The meet will take place on March 9-10 in Mankato, Minn.
Fresh off a second place finish in this past weekend's MIAA Indoor Championships, the Lions are now ranked 21st in Division II and second in their region.
Freshman Jeff Fraley qualified in two separate events. He is ranked seeded in the 60m dash and sixth in the 200m dash as the Waynesville, Mo. native broke the MSSU school record in both events this season.
Sophomore Clark Tanksley is seeded14th in the high jump and makes his second National Meet, while John Lowe is seeded 12th in the pole vault and is competing in his first National Meet.
