4X100 wins at Arkansas/Reynolds, Nummela pick up provisionals

Fayetteville, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern men's track and field team picked up a win in the 4x100m relay, while Corey Reynolds and Aki Nummela picked up provisional scores at the John McDonnell Invite at the University of Arkansas.

The 400m relay team consisting of Dustin Roofener, Clark Tanksley, Jacob Khan and Andrew Wright won the event in a time of 42.91, just off of a provisional time.

Reynolds finished third in the high jump with a height of 6-9. Seth Matlock was fifth in the event. Aki Nummela finished 20th in the invitational 1,500m race with a provisional time of 3:51.29. It was the top division II time in the race.

In other action, John Lowe was fifth in the pole vault with a height of 15-7, while Kevin Wright and Ricardo Greer placed 6th and 10th, respectively in the 400m hurdles. Tanksley was fifth in the long jump with a distance of 20-2.5.

Sam Pogue was fifth in the 3k steeple with a time of 10:07.06, while Tanksley and Zach Reece placed 6th and 7th in the 400m dash. Roofener was seventh in the 100m with a time of 11.73, while Caleb Carney placed 19th in the 800m and Andrew Webb placed 15th in the 5k.

Southern will be back in action next Friday with the Bob Laptad/Bill Williams Invitational at Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
