Emporia, Kan. -- Missouri Southern jumper Corey Reynolds picked up a strong provisional today and placed second in the high jump at the State Farm/Emporia State Relays.
Reynolds hit a height of 6-10.75, which equalled the highest jump of the day, but he placed second on fewest misses. Seth Matlock was 11th in the event.
In other action, John Lowe was third in the pole vault with a height of 15-7, while Caleb Carney placed 10th. Lowe and Jerry Jones placed 17th in the long jump, whie Sam Pogue was 7th in the 3k steeplechase and Kevin Wright placed fifth in the 400m hurdles in a time of 54.45.
The Lions will be back in action next weekend competing at the ESU Multi's on Thursday and Friday and then at Pittsburg State on Saturday.
