Lions finish fourth at UCM Invite

Warrensburg, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern men's indoor track and field team placed fourth at the Central Missouri Invitational today held at the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg. 

Corey Reynolds continued his good indoor season with another provisional in the high jump, placing third with a height of 6-08.25, while Seth Matlock was fourth at 6-06.25. 

Michael Juergens placed second in the pole vault and was one of three Lions in the top six in the event. Juergens vaulted to a height of 14-09.00, while Raymond Woldtvedt hit hit 14-9 and John Lowe topped out at 14-3.25.

In the long jump, Clark Tanksley was ninth at 22-01.00, while Jacob Rowe was 10th and Jerry Jones placed 13th. Nick Grosso placed third in the shot put with a distance of 48-09, while placing seventh in the weight throw with a distance of 47-03. 

Jazz Allen and Ricardo Greer qualified for the finals of the 60m hurdles, with Allen placing third (8.63) and Greer 5th (8.68). Jerry Jones qualified for the finals of the 60m dash and placed fifth with a time of 7.13, while Zach Reece was fifth in the 400m with a time of 52.38. Brandon Weaver placed sixth in the 800m run (2:02.20), while the Lions placed six runners in the top 25 in the 200m dash. Tanksley and Jones were 4th and 6th with times of 23:08 and 23.21, while Jacob Khan, Allen, Dustin Roofener and Taylor McClelland placed 12th, 14th, 17th and 24th. 

The Lions ran three different teams in the 4x440 yard relay with the team of Tanksley, Reece, Allen and Khan taking third with at ime of 3:31.14. The team of Roofener, Greer, Weaver and Reynolds placed 8th and the team of Rowe, Woldtvedt, Caleb Carney and Juergens placed 11th.
