Sherwood, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern golf team shot a 310 in the second round of the 2013 Arkansas-Monticello Fall Classic today, finishing third overall in the team standings.
Sophomore Ethan Hutcheson shot a 76 in round two to finish tied for third with a two-round total of 151. Freshman Taylor Lansford finished in seventh wit a 153, while junior Ryan Buerk was tied for 15th wit ha 157. Sophomore Garrett Roberts shot a 63, while Andrew Maier finished with a 165.
Rogers State improved its team total by five strokes today to finish with a 305, just two shots in front of second place Ouachita Baptist. Southern was in third, four shots behind Rogers State, while Southern Arkansas, Arkansas-Monticello, Norhtwestern Arkansas and Hendrix rounded out the team totals.
The Lions will now wait until the spring season when Southern will travel to the David Falconer Classic, hosted by Arkansas Tech University on March 10-11.
