Lions place 12th after final day at Midwestern State Invite

Wichita Falls, Texas -- The Missouri Southern golf team finished in 12th place out of 18 teams today at the Midwestern State Invitational held at the Wichita Falls Country Club in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Junior Seve Smith was the Lions top score after day one, and shot a third round 75 to finish in 13th place overall with a three-round 223. Sophomore Andy Hogenmiller shot a third round 79 and finished with a 235, while junior Jamie Voegeli had a third round 80 to finish with 236. 

Seniors David Eddy and Taylor Griffith shot a three-round total of 238 and 243, respectively. 

Oklahoma City shot seven over as a team to take the team title by 23 strokes over second-place Dallas Baptist. Central Missouri was third followed by Midwestern State, East Central, Cameron, Central Oklahoma, West Texas A&M, Newman and Northeastern State round out the top ten. 

The Lions will be back in action on April 5-6 competing in the University of Central Oklahoma/Kickingbird Classic at Kickingbird Golf Club in Edmond, Okla.
