Thomann picks up another All-American nod

Joplin, Mo. -- Another day, another All-American honor for Missouri Southern senior center Keane Thomann as the big man was named a third-team All-American by Daktronics.
Thomann, a first-team All-MIAA and All-Region selection, was also named the MIAA and Region Player of the Year. He was named a second-team All-American pick by Basketball Times yesterday. He joins Michael Lloyd of Midwestern State and Will McNeil of Washburn as the lone representatives from the South Central Region on the list.
He finished his career as one of the best big man to ever wear a Southern jersey. He finishes with the sixth-most points in a single season at Southern (646), while his scoring average of 21.5 this season is sixth-best as well. His career points total of 1,523 put him in front of Chris Tucker for sixth-place on the all-time scoring list. His single-season field goal percentage this season (.633) and his career average (.615) rank tops all-time in Southern history.
Thomann will be in Highland Heights, Kentucky at the Elite Eight and will participate in the Reeces Division II All-Star Game this Friday, March 23.
