In 2010-11: Adams had another outstanding year starting all 31 games for the Green & Gold while earning first team All-MIAA honors and averaging 19.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest and helping the Lions to their second NCAA D-II South Central Regional appearance…Adams set his career mark for blocked shots the second game into the 10-11 season as he blocked three Central Bible shots at home on Nov. 19…narrowly missed a new career mark in points as he scored 30 at home against Southwest Baptist on Jan. 29, he scored in double figures 30 out of 31 games, the lone game was a nine point performance in the conference tournament against Fort Hays State in the MIAA Championship game…set a new career mark in three point buckets with six against Washburn in the South Central Regional overtime win…went a perfect 9-for-9 from the charity stripe in a win at Washburn on Feb. 17…set his rebounding career high three times, eventually shattering the old mark of six, opened the season with a seven board performance against Northeastern State, then recorded his first double-double as he pulled down 11 rebounds at Emporia State while scoring 17, and eventually set his career high mark with 13 rebounds at Northwest Missouri on Jan. 17, which was Adams’ second double-double…Jason also set career marks for assists with six against both Missouri Western (Dec. 8) and at Missouri Western (Feb. 5)…led the Lions in scoring with 596 points and second on the team with 182 rebounds (26 offensive and 156 defensive)…made his first appearance on ESPN’s Top 10 plays at Number 8 with a 360 degree dunk in the 73-60 win at Emporia State on Jan. 5.
In 2009-10: Adams had a career best season rewriting all of his career highs…34 points with 12 field goals made and 6 of them three-pointers all at Missouri Western on 12/30/09…hit career high of eight free throws at Fort Hays State (1/11/10) & against Truman (12/20/09)…pulled down 15 boards against Nebraska-Omaha (1/16/10), while dishing out career best five assists against Central Bible (11/24/10)…grabbed six steals in a losing effort in the overtime thriller at Nebraska-Omaha (2/25/10) and blocked two shots at Truman (1/23/10), at Washburn (1/9/10), against Arkansas-Ft. Smith (12/21/09), & against Southwest Baptist (12/9/09)…Adams also finished 71st in the nation in scoring average (17.9)…Adams also led the Lions in scoring 14-of-28 games, with a season total of 502 points and was named to the second team All-MIAA…Adams also played in all 28 games starting 27 and lead the team in average minutes played with 30.2, while leading the team in rebounding with 189 boards (40 offensive and 149 defensive).
In 2008-09: High-flyer followed teammate Skyler Bowlin's MIAA Freshman of the Year campaign in 2007-08 with a stellar season that made him the Conference Freshman of the year this past season ... averaged 10.5 ppg and wowed fans at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center with an impressive array of dunks and alley-oops ... posted solid numbers across the board with 3.2 rpg, 40 assists and 32 steals ... also displayed a reliable three-point by making 37.9 percent (33-of-87) of his attempts from beyond the arc ... topped the 20-point mark three times, including a career-high 27 in the Lions' 91-83 win over Evangel (11/29/08).
In high school: Started three years for the Carthage Tigers ... was selected as a first-team all-conference selection and to the Neosho All-Tournament squad ... showed off his athleticism by winning the Neosho Tournament Dunk Contest ... scored 1,000 points during his three-year playing career at Carthage ... also ran track for one season.
Personal: A communications major ... born October 28, 1989 in Providence, R.I. ... son of Harold "Lee" and Barbara Adams ... cousin of Super Bowl champion and former New England Patriot and Kansas City Chief cornerback Ty Law.
