Southern football begins fall practice Monday
Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern football team will open up fall practice on Monday, August 12 at Fred G. Hughes Stadium, inside the Robert W. Plaster Sports Complex with a 2:30 pm workout to start the 2013 football season.
The Lions, recently picked to finish ninth in the coaches poll and eighth in the media poll, will start with a practice at 2:30 on Monday and then will practice at 9:30 am for the rest of the week. All practices will be held at Hughes Stadium and, as always, are open to the public.
Players reported on campus yesterday and are going through mandatory meetings with training and compliance staff today before getting into the first fall practice tomorrow.
