2011- Willis appeared in 9 games for MSSU as a true freshman with 22 carries for 118 yards and a touchdown.  Had a season-high 8 carries for 58 yards in a win over Southwest Baptist.

Prior To Southern - Willis played for coach Jeffrey Smith at McKinney HS where he was a unanimous first team All-District selection as a junior after leading the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in rushing with 2,186 yards and 18 touchdowns …. That season he was a second team All-State selection … He was named one of Texas' top 100 players by rivals.com before he being plagued by multiple season-ending injuries his senior year … Also a star track athlete, Wilson was a 2010 regional qualifier in both the 300m hurdles and the 4x400m relay … undecided on his future major at Southern, Willis is the son of Lafrontas Conklton and Cassandra Beamon.
