2009: Saw action in seven games, getting his first collegiate start against Pittsburg State in the Sonic Miner’s Bowl … completed 98 of 186 passes to lead the team with 1142 yards and finish second with eight touchdowns … had his best game when helped orchestrate 21 unanswered points at 12th ranked Missouri Western to lead the Lions to a 35-34 upset win over the Griffons … went 22-41 in the game with 298 yards and four touchdowns, including the game winner as time was expiring … also rushed for 194 yards and a touchdown on the season.

In 2008: Played in three games as a backup quarterback for the Lions … completed three passes for 17 yards during the Lions’ week two victory over Haskell … also rushed for 19 yards on two carries against Haskell.

In 2007:  Backed up Adam Hinspeter and saw action in five games … recorded a 72% completion rating … threw two touchdowns in the season opener against Haskell also completing 6 of 7 … also rushed 14 times for a total of 78 yards … Thompson enters the season looking to push for the starting job at quarterback.

In 2006: Thompson redshirted.

In high school:  Started three years at quarterback for the Brother Martin High School and coach Wade Keiser… earned all-parish and all-district senior season… was named offensive and team MVP as a senior…ran track leading to a district and regional championship.
