Southern baseball named sixth seed in Central Region and will play Minnesota State-Mankato

Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern baseball team has been named the sixth seed in the NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament which will be hosted by Minnesota-State Mankato. 

The Lions (34-20) will face off with Minnesota State (35-8) as the Mavericks earned the No. 1 seed after winning the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament. 

Central Missouri will be the two seed in the tournament and face off with the fifth seed St. Cloud State. Third seed Southern Arkansas will face off with fourth seed Missouri Western.

The tournament will start on Thursday and conclude on Sunday. Game times will be released on Monday as well as travel information for the team.
