Prior to Southern - Last season at Fort Scott, Steadman hit .239 with 21 runs scored, 32 hits, 16 RBIs, two doubles and a triple in 48 games played ... As a freshman, he hit .233 with two doubles, six RBIs and ten runs scored in ten games ... Prior to FSCC, Steadman, a native of Derby, Kan., prepped at Derby High School for coach JB Nicholson and the Panthers. A two year starter and a three year letter winner on the baseball field, Steadman also started for two years on the basketball court. As a baseball player, he was an All-Conference and All-State seleciton as a senior, whiel picking up All-State honors in basketball after leading the league in assits and three point percentage.

Personal - The son of Mark and Teri Steadman, Zach plans to major in kinesiology at Southern.
