Prior to Southern - Doughty comes to Southern after a season at Northwestern State University. At NSU, Doughty played in 25 games, starting 15. As a junior last season, he hit .264 with three doubles a triple and was a perfect 3-3 on the basepaths. Prior to NSU, he was an All-Conference and All-Region selection at Neosho County Community College where he hit .395 his sophomore season. A native of Raytown, Mo., Doughty prepped at Raytown HS.
