2011 - A second-team All-MIAA pick, Kinzey was one of the Lions' best hitters in 2011 as he started in 48 of 49 games played, hitting .341 with a team-high five home runs and 37 RBIs ... he had 13 doubles and 56 hits and slugged for a .512 average ... He had 17 multiple hit games including five different three hit games ... had a season-high five runs scored against Arkansas Tech on Feb. 17 and had a season high three RBIs in four different games ... had a 3-4 game with two runs scored, three RBIs and two home runs in a win at Pittsburg State.
At Independence CC: Played two seasons at Independence earning first team all-conference and all-region as a utility player.
In High School: A two-year starter as a pitcher, first baseman, and outfielder for Coach Howard's Catoosa Indians. As a senior, Jesse was named Co-MVP and pitcher of the year for his team and conference. Earned two second team all-metro honors. Set school records for both the lowest ERA and the highest batting average in a season.
Personal: Jesse is the son of Mickey and Debbie Kinzey. A physical therapy major at MSSU, Jesse was born in Tulsa, Okla. on September 2, 1989.
