Prior to Southern - was a four-time letter winner for the Tigers of Lamar HS...earned second team All-Big 8 Conference honors as a junior...a four-time All-District selection...as a freshman helped LHS to a third place finish at both the Missouri State High Schools Activities Association  (MSHSAA) Class 2 District 6 and Sectional 3 tournaments, placed 14th in districts and 17th at sectionals...as a sophomore helped lead the Tigers to a MSHSAA Class 2 runner-up finish and placed 20th at the Championships...Tigers won the Sectional 3 tournament, placed 20th, and finished third in district tournament, placed sixth...as a junior finished third with a 5-over score in the MSHSAA Class 2 District 6 Tournament, while the Tigers won the District 6 title...Lamar won the Class 2 Sectional 3 title and Fischer finished 11th...at the state tournament he tied for 27th as an individual and helped LHS to a sixth place finish...during his senior season Fischer helped lead the Tigers to second place finishes at the MSHSAA Class 2 District 6 and Sectional 3 tournaments, placing tied for eighth at districts and tied for 13th at sectionals...he also helped the Tigers to another third place finish at the MSHSAA Class 2 state tournament where he tied for 34th.
