Biography

2016-17: Played in 28 games and made one start in her first season as a Lion...Recorded a 3FG percenatge of 52.4 and free-throw percentage of 76.8...Concluded the season by going a season-high 34 minutes in the final game at Fort Hayes State on Feb. 28th...Scored a season-high 18 points (5-for-8) and (8-for-8 FT) at Emporia State on Jan. 22nd...Also had a impressive 6-for-7 line for 16 points against Lincoln (Mo.)...Registered double-figure scoring in three games against Lincoln (16), at Emporia State (18), and vs. Northeastern State (10)...Had a season-high five rebounds at Southwest Baptist on Feb. 9th (all at the defensive end). 

Prior to Southern: Julianna comes to the Lions after a stand out career at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, Illinois. The 5'9 guard from Oswego, Ill. (Oswego East HS) played in all 31 games for the Chiefs while during her sophomore season, shooting 41.8 percent (230-of-550) from the field including going 33-for-106 (31.1 percent) from three point range as the Waubonsee CC Chiefs made their first ever back-to-back NJCAA National Tournament appearances in 2014-15 and 15-16. Wadsworth set a new WCC school record her sophomore season when she scored 38 points against Oakton (Ill.) CC on January 12. For her career at WCC, Julianna became the first Chief to surpass the 1,000 point plateau with 1,211 career points (628 during her sophomore season). Wadsworth finished third in NJCAA D-II in free throw percentage shooting 86 percent (135-of-157), fourth in the nation in steals (123), ninth in total points (628), 15th in assists (152), and 19th in points per game (20.3). For her efforts during the sophomore season she earned first team All-Region and All-Region Tournament team selections as well as a second team All-American honor. During her freshman season at WCC, Wadsworth earned All-Academic Team honors along with first team All-Conference and All-Region honors as well as the MVP of the regional championship tournament and a third team All-American honor. She also set a new WCC record with 16 consecutive free throws. A 2014 graduate of Oswego East HS, Wadsworth was an All-Conference honoree on the basketball court for the Lady Wolves at guard as well as playing setter for the volleyball team.
