Biography

2015-16: Holcomb was one of only two Lions to play in and start all 30 games...played a season-high 40 minutes against both Southwest Baptist (Jan. 7) and Pittsburg State (Feb. 27)...Holcomb shot a season best 75 percent (6-for-8) from the field and was a perfect 5-for-5 from three point range as the Lions upset then 3rd ranked Emporia State at LPAC on Dec. 16...the Lions also set a new school record for three point field goal percentage in that game going 7-for-7 as a team...Holcomb also went perfect from the free throw line seven times during the season with a season best 6-for-6 coming against Pittsburg State on Feb. 27...also pulled down eight rebounds against the Gorillas in that contest and dished out seven assists against Central Missouri in Joplin on Jan. 9...Holcomb scored in double figures in all but seven games during the season with a high of 26 coming in a 74-61 over Southwest Baptist inside LPAC on Jan. 7.

Prior to Southern: Holcomb comes to the Lions from St. Louis Community College where she earned first team All-American honors her sophomore season. She was a first-team All-Conference and All-Region pick as a freshman, as well as a sophomore. A native of Denton, Texas, Holcomb finished second in the nation at the NJCAA D-II level with 25.2 points per game. Holcomb also was the first SLCC player to score 1,000 points as she finished with 1,088 for the Archers. During her two years with SLCC, Holcomb helped lead the Archers to a 40-15 record and two NJCAA Region XVI championship games.During her sophomore campaign Holcomb shot 45.5 percent (278-611) from the field and finished 16th in the nation in steals with 96. She also averaged 8.2 rebounds per contest, while shooting 71.8 percent (112-156) from the free throw line.Holcomb prepped at Billy Ryan High School where she was a 2011 graduate and played for coach Moesha Allen. Her sophomore season, Holcomb was an honorable mention All-Conference selection, while also being named Newcomer of the Year. She was a first-team All-District pick as a senior. 

Personal: Holcomb is the daughter of Randy and Gloria Holcomb. Her brother, Randy Jr. played basketball at San Diego State, as well as playing professionally in Europe...major at Southern is health promotions...has younger brother, Marcus.
